Ages & Experience Levels
We welcome students of all ages and skill levels. While 5 years old is generally a good starting age for kids' piano lessons, 7 years old is typically a good starting age for guitar lessons, bass lessons, and mandolin lessons. We believe in flexibility and can tailor lessons based on individual attention spans and readiness. Whether for a child, teenager, or yourself, we can work with you to structure a lesson plan with a positive blend of your wants and needs.

Our Instructor Benjamin Bochenek has over 38 years of experience in playing music and musical study. He has been giving piano and guitar instruction in Phoenix and the surrounding areas since 2009. By 2012 he added ukulele, bass guitar, drums and mandolin to ensure the best approach and technique for all of our instrumental instruction.
Benjamin has an incredible teaching technique that draws from his wide ranging knowledge of musical study and application, such as performance, original song writing, producing and recording. This real world application enables music students to learn from his experience. The specific needs and wants of his individual music students are always kept in mind.

Skype lessons with Ben have been incredibly productive since the COVID pandemic as it allows our daughter to continue her progress. One of the things on my list of things I wanted to do when I retired was to learn to play the ukulele. I sought out to find a one on one teacher and found Ben who is an amazing and PATIENT instructor! I’ve learned so much and am really happy with his casual approach. You have several options of meeting and I chose to come to his house but he will come to your house or even set up zoom lessons. The prices are reasonable and I am happy with what I’ve learned. We highly recommend Benjamin for guitar lessons, we are so happy about the progress our son has made in just a short period of time with him. Our son was previously taking lessons elsewhere for a year and had no idea what to practice or how to play anything on his own, not to mention he had developed a lot of bad habits in his technique. Now our son practices regularly and is developing the core skills that will allow him to play any type of music.
